  Research question re. Treatment of Disfellowshipped Relatives

  i do remember, but can't seem to find it, a watchtower comment that stated.

  " relatives must decide on the emotiional needs of the df'd relatives to see what limited contact would be necessary".

  does anyone remember this?.

  NewChapter: I knew of a young girl who got pregnant. She was disfellowshipped and her family and everyone she knew turned their backs on her. She had the baby and suffered from post partum depression. The child's father rejected her. Her family and friends shunned her. She shot herself to death. JW's blamed the boyfriend who rejected her. She was 19. Yeah.

  SHUNNING IS EVIL. Shunning causes deaths.

  The following image may speak in behalf of such depressed children. Remember, a disfellowshipped child living in the home of JW parents must not be allowed to mingle with other baptized folks, including fleshly brothers, sisters, cousins, etc., who live outside the home. Imaging the trauma of a get-together at his parents home.

  as part of my objective analysis of four month's worth of watchtower study editions from july to october 2011, i found the following gem from a question from readers, on page 22 of the august 15 magazine.

  the question under discussion was "how are we to understand the figures in the annual service report?

  ", and it goes on to provide an idiot's guide to what the figures mean, including the following.... "memorial partakers.

  i have been studying with jw's.

  they seem to have a lot of truth but i have come across a lot of conflicting information about them.

  i want the best for my family and i and want to get closer to god.. any advice?.

  The following essay link is designed for newly interested ones. It exposes Watchtower by revealing the single most outrageous series of Watchtower contradictions that most of us have ever seen. It does it from their own publications. It does it without discussing any doctrines, which, as you know is like talking to your cat.

  Service Leeches

  i remember that in my old hall there was a single pioneer sister who lived in the kh basement.

  she did not drive, (22 years old) and she was.

  such a "spiritual example" .. but now i remember going out in service with the group on a saturday morning, and she would be part of the group that was in my car.. we would do about an hour of service door to door, and then return visits for an hour or two.

  Just before the time I terminated my elder's position we had an elder's meeting discussing one of the elder's who was absent. No one remembered the last time he was in service cuz he claimed illness frequently. Yet no one remembered the last time he missed giving an assigned public talk. The man was obviously a showboat.

  He'd also just asked for the outline on the memorial talk, assuming he would do that talk again as usual. He claimed to be of the annointed.

  I never knew how that one panned out.

  yes, i'm a member but i don't socialize there mainly because i don't understand stuff like the above title.

  did "jane doe" actually solicit my friendship or is facebook interpolating and extrapolating her current friends and my current friends and therefore makes a logical connection?.

  Hi Clarity,

  I turned texting off on our plan after we got several videos (which incurred extra charge) from relatives. If I want to see a video I'll use my desktop machine and get better quality to boot.

  Texting among youngsters today has exposed one of their rudest qualities. Last weekend we sat in a movie theater and to my left, two teenage girls. Every five minutes they'd turn on their phones (to check for messages?) and from my perspective it looked like a pair of flashlights. Very distracting.
